DAY EIGHT
Sometimes, i feel like i can't do this

I'm going to try posting in a different format today.

This morning i woke up around 5:35am.  i got ready for class and walked to starbucks.  There, i had a PLAIN BAGEL WITH BUTTER, and a STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE.  I took my medications and vitamin around 6:30am, and then went to class.

During class, i made cherry filling, whipped cream, a chiffon genoise cake, and chocolate ganache.  We put together a black forrest cake, and i tried two bites of CARROT CAKE.

Before we were finished class, we were given the chance to eat different foods from Culinary Labs.  I had BROCCOLI, ZUCCHINI, and POTATOES.  i didn't have much of them though.

After class let out, i returned to my room where i had a serving of GOLDFISH CRACKERS, SKIM MILK, APPLE SLICES, and CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP.  

I then ate a 100 CALORIE PACK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, and STRAWBERRY GUMMIES.

After that, i took a fifteen minute nap before heading off to the gym.

While at the gym i was on the short bike for 30 minutes, where i burned exactly 100 calories by traveling 5.8 miles.  then, i walked on the treadmill for 12 minutes, and traveled .77 miles, burning 69 calories.

After that, i took a shower and went to dinner, while at dinner i had, CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD WITH CUCUMBERS AND TOMATOES, HALF OF A TURKEY BURGER, AND ITALIAN WEDDING SOUP.  With dinner, i had lemon/lime sparkling water.

When i returned from dinner, i had RICE PUDDING.

I'm trying to start doing a project where i walk/bike/run/exercise 100 miles total in a month.  Counting today, i have traveled 6.57/100 miles.

i'm still trying to figure out if i like this format, but there we go.  

i think that the worst thing i ate today was either the chicken caesar salad or the rice pudding.

When i totaled what i though each item contained in calories... i consumed 2,336 total calories.

DAY SEVEN
Man, i'm tired

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, got ready for class, and then went to starbucks for breakfast.  After that, i went to class and then returned to my dorm, where i did my homework, took a nap, and watched a movie before eating dinner and going to bed.  i also took a shower.

i took my medication around 12:00pm.

My class also went to the dining room today, so i ate fancier food than usual.

My class is a baking and pastry lab, so i'm always on my feet, i guess that can sort of count as exercise.  

This is what i ate today:
  • Banana Chocolate Chip Cake
  • 2 Slices bread
  • Fruit Juice
  • Salad with cucumbers, egg, radishes, and vinaigrette
  • Breaded Steak bites
  • Sliced pork with peas, cauliflower, gravy and some sort of pancake
  • Turkey Sandwich
  • Goldfish Crackers
  • Strawberry Gummies
  • Chicken Caesar salad with cucumbers and tomato
  • Broccoli Alfredo
  • Chocolate Cake
  • Lemon Meringue Pie
  • Apple Jacks
  • Pizza
  • Apple Jacks
  • Apple Slices
  • Fruit Juice
I ate a lot of different things today, but a lot of them were really small portions.  i think that the worst thing i ate was the broccoli alfredo.

This post is a day late because i forgot to post it last night.

DAY SIX
This is harder than it looks

Today i woke up at 5:20am, because i have class at 7am.  I got ready, ate breakfast and took 
i took my medication around 6:15 am.  i was at class until 1, then i had lunch and went to the gym around 3:30pm.  While there i was on the elliptical for fifteen minutes, i burned 195 calories.  I was on the tall bike for fifteen minutes, i traveled 3.5 miles, and burned 93 calories.  Lastly, i was on the short bike, and i traveled 3.33 miles in 15 minutes and burned 81 calories.  in total, at the gym today, i burned roughly 369 calories.

The food i ate today goes as following:
  • Yogurt with strawberries
  • Vegetable Soup with Noodles
  • Juice Pouch
  • Goldfish crackers
  • Bread
  • Cookies
  • Diet Hot Chocolate
  • Strawberry Banana Smoothie
  • Salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, Crutons, feta, italian dressing
  • Stir Fry with broccoli, onions Chicken, teriyaki, rice
  • Chilli
  • Cucumbers (ALL ALONE! i love cucumbers)

With estimating calories, i'm guessing that i consumed a total of 2160.

Class again tomorrow! 
Hopefully i'll eat even better!

DAY FIVE
Confessions

Today i woke up around 6:45am to get ready to go back to school.  It was extremely icy so we couldn't leave the house until almost 9:30.  So i didn't have time to go on the treadmill today.

i took my medication around 9:30am.

The food i ate today goes as following:
  • Two slices of toast with cinnamon sugar
  • A pack of Strawberry Gummies
  • Goldfish Crackers
  • Spinach and Mozzarella Calzone
  • Diet Pepsi
  • Pasta with Vodka sauce
  • Pizza
  • Chicken Caesar salad with cucumbers and tomatoes
  • Sugar cookie
  • Diet hot chocolate
  • chocolate chip cookies (100 cal pack)
  • Sugar cookie
  • goldfish crackers

Tomorrow i start classes again, so i'll be back into a schedule and i'll be back at the gym!

DAY THREE
I Won't Give Up

I woke up around 8am and didn't go on the treadmill right away, because i had a job interview. But i did shovel a lot because we had a big snowstorm.

Around 8:45pm i went on the treadmill for 30 minutes.  During that time i walked and jogged 1.81 miles and burned 228 calories

i took my medications around 9:45pm

I had an off day with eating, because sometimes i eat my feelings ( *sadface* ) But here's what i ate today:
  • Pumpkin spice waffles
  • Diet hot chocolate
  • whole grain pasta with peas, onions, and vodka sauce
  • Salad with cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, feta cheese, crutons, and balsamic vinegarette
  • two slices of toast
  • crystal light raspberry lemonade
  • Frozen yogurt tube
  • cherry turnover
  • sprite
  • jax
  • chicken, vegetables, and stuffing
  • diet hot chocolate
  • A tortilla with peanut butter and a banana
i really don't want to calculate the total calories for today, because i know i didn't do well at all. But i'm sure i was over 2000 calories!

i move back to school sunday, so fingers crossed i do well when i move back.

DAY TWO
Everyday Troubles

I woke up around 9am this morning, and After laying in bed for a while, i got on the treadmill for 25 minutes.  I ended up walking 1.55 miles and burning 192 calories.

I took my medications and vitamin around 10:30am.

Once my day was in swing, i consumed the following foods:
  • Life cereal with skim milk
  • A banana
  • Crab fries
  • A chicken cheesesteak
  • A slice of S'mores cake
  • A Cheesesteak
  • French fries
  • Sugar Wafers
After estimating and adding all the calories that i think i consumed today, i came up with the following number:
2,315 calories

That's it for Day Two.  I'll be going to school on sunday, so i should be eating and exercising differently once i'm there.

DAY ONE
New Year, New Me

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Today, since i went to bed late the night before, i rolled out of bed around 10am.  Once i was dressed, and i brushed my teeth, i stretched, filled my water bottle, and jumped onto the Treadmill for 20 minutes.  While exercising, i walked 1.16 miles, and burned around 140 calories.

I took my medications and vitamin around 1pm.

My beginning weight is 214.4 pounds.

Once my day was in swing, i consumed the following foods:
  • Life cereal with Skim milk
  • An apple
  • A salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, crutons, romaine, and balsamic vinegarete
  • A bag of baked lays chips
  • A 5 in. Wawa italian hoagie with tomato, lettuce, and light oil
  • Cucumber
  • Skim milk
  • Pork
  • Applesauce
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Green Beans
  • Whole Wheat roll
  • A slice of s'mores cake
  • A Wawa medium Icee
  • A soft pretzel
After estimating and adding all the calories that i think i consumed today, i came up with the following number:
2,265 calories

This blog is the first of many, featuring daily reflections on what i've eaten and what i've done.  My goal is to get down to 150 pounds in the next two years.  This means that i have to lose 64 pounds, or 32 pounds a year.  Fingers crossed.

My Goals of 2014 are as following:
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables
  • Drink more water
  • Go to the gym at least three times a week.
  • Stay on the dean's list
  • Be more confident
  • Stay organized
  • Go out every once in a while
  • Talk to new people
  • Don't stress
  • Don't gossip
  • Sleep
